Phone Pic Friday

Welcome to Phone Pic Fridays, my friends.  I won't promise these will be the most interesting pictures in the world, but they will be a random glance into this ridiculous life I lead.  And let's be honest, that is why my two readers keep coming back--thanks, Mom and cousin! :)

The MMM Cupcake Truck made a stop at my work this week.  The truck spends the day parking at different office buildings downtown in half hour increments, selling their delicious cupcakes.  Daily, the post on their Facebook and Twitter to let followers know where they will be that day.  Let me say, I had no idea cupcakes could boost office morale.  In was a nice midday break in the conference room, even the CEO came down to join.
I unashamedly had two. Red Velvet and Snickerdoodle.  They. Were. Phenomenal.
This is the lizard that likes to hang out on the entry keypad to my apartment.  Gross. He always wins the staring contest.

Speaking of gross, this is what happens when your roomie forgets she left rice in the rice cooker.  I still love her.  And the rice cooker.

Honestly

I'm a pretty honest person. When I was in elementary school, the teachers at my private school picked a character trait that they thought described each child in their class each year. It was a trait they saw in the child, and they gave our parents a certificate with our name and our chosen character trait. I have four character trait certificates. Three years I received "Honesty." The fourth year I mixed it up a little: "Truthfulness." That being said, I need to be honest for a minute. I think I have a problem with honesty. I know! I was surprised, too, when I realized it. But it's not what you think. So before you start trying to figure out what lies I may have told you, let me explain. You know how you can look back and realize something that happened to you would teach you a lesson one day? There are several moments in my life that helped come to the realization that my elementary school certificates might be invalid... Texas, Fall 2008...
